I’m sure recently with everything changing, lockdown easing and with everything starting to get back to reality almost, everyone can get stressed, I sure am. I feel like I want to be able to accomplish everything that I’ve wanted to do this year all at once knowing that the past 3-4 months have been put on pause and it’s like we’ve skipped summer all together. I want to share with you 10 things that I do when I’m feeling stressed.
Cup Of Tea
In the most British way possible tea has to be the first thing on this list, whenever I’m feeling stressed I make myself a cup of tea. Not everyone likes tea, I understand so just replace this with a hot drink of your choice. I find that a hot drink can give me that cosy and calm feeling, and it really does help me.

Reading A Book
I’ve always been a bit of a bookworm, ever since I was a kid, so whenever I’m feeling stressed I always pick up whatever I’m reading at the time. Crime and thriller books are usually my go-to genres, if you enjoy reading what is your favourite genre? I’d love to hear any recommendations that you’ve read and loved.
Bubble Bath
Not just any bath, it has to be a bubble bath, and I’ll be honest it’s not a big well known bubble bath I use either, most of the time it’s the supermarket own brand that I buy and it works a treat for me and they usually smell amazing. maybe even take the first two points in this list and do that in the bath, now that’s a 10/10 when it comes to de-stressing.
Writing
Whether that’s a blog post or just in my journal, I like to write about whatever is on mind, what’s making me feel stressed? what have I done that day? How has my mental health been that day? Writing all of this done in your own unique way is like therapy I swear.

Netflix
I couldn’t leave this out of the list, Netflix is great when you’re feeling stressed, you can literally watch anything, I usually go for something light hearted, whether that means sticking on a sitcom or watching a comedy film, or maybe even something animated, you really can’t beat a good family-friendly animated adventure.
Animal Crossing
I know not everyone has Animal Crossing, but this is something I do when I’m feeling stressed, it’s the most laidback game ever, however I will also include The Sims in this point too because that is also an awesome game.

Do A Face Mask
I love a face mask, I can’t tell you a favourite I love too many, but this is perfect when you need to relax and switch off for the day, chuck on a face mask, sit in front of the telly and put your feet up, you will be fully zen that evening I promise you.
Get Glam
Going in the complete opposite direction of my last point this is something that also does relax me, I love doing my make up and my hair, it distracts me for a couple of hours, it doesn’t matter if you’re not going anywhere, heck do a little mini photoshoot, you work that camera girl!

Add To Wishlist
This doesn’t mean spend money, I’ve hardly got a lot of that to chuck around, I love going onto some of may favourite online clothing stores and just browsing and add my favourite pieces to my wishlist, I could do it for hours, I truly recommend it.
Crochet
I’ve recently learnt how to crochet, I wouldn’t say I’m amazing at it but it’s very therapeutic. My grandmother taught me recently and I’ve picked up quite quickly, I’ll be crocheting a hat in no time!
What do you do when you’re feeling stressed?
TTFN x
Whenever I’m stressed I tend to listen to music a lot. It helps relax me and calm me down.
Great tips you have here! 🤗

As an aside, I like these things you do when you are stressed, and I am glad they work for you! I am slightly different, in that if I am stressed I try to reflect on the stress and take time for myself. I think for me I like to tackle the stress head on, which helps me 🙂

Tackling the stress head on is a technique I’m not very good at, appreciate your comment

Hello! I love this post. I love writing, losing myself in a good book, taking a walk, snuggling my dogs, and watching old favorite TV shows.
