Shopping And Italian Food

Hello you lovely lot, last weekend I went down to Portsmouth to see my dad and it’s safe to say it was a great weekend, on the Saturday we had a BBQ and cooked pork in the smoker which tasted lush, Chuck a couple of chicken wings, burgers and sausages into the mix and it was a gorgeous feast!

Whilst I was visiting for the weekend we saved one day to go and visit my favourite place to go shopping and treated ourselves to dinner in a very nice Italian restaurant.

Gunwharf Quays is a shopping centre for several designer outlets, I have a few favourites there, for instance Tommy Hilfiger is definitely in my top three followed by Ted Baker and Kurt Geiger.

I managed to get a few bits in the sales, one of them being a pink striped shirt from Tommy Hilfiger, it’s certainly one that is out of my comfort zone however there was something about it I really liked and I’m hoping I can pull it off. The next bargain I got was a pair of nude court heels from Kurt Geiger, it was something I have always lacked in my wardrobe and they’re such a staple piece, lastly I went into Superdry and found a black buttoned midi dress, obviously with the fitting rooms closed I took a risk and I bought it.

So I got home and tried on my clothes and let me tell you this black dress was one of my best purchases it fit like a glove and it had pockets! Now I feel like my fellow females will truly understand my excitement upon this discovery. I know for sure that I’m going to where the heck out of this dress.

Walking round Gunwharf is not only retail therapy it’s incredibly scenic it’s situated right near Portsmouth harbour, so you get the views of all the ferries and the occasional privately owned yacht docked near. But, you also get an incredible view of the Spinnaker Tower, you can go up to the top of this tower and inside there is a glass floor that you can stand on and looked down from above, it’s definitely not for the faint hearted and 8 really wouldn’t recommend it if you have a fear of heights.

Lastly me and my dad had a very nice lunch at an Italian restaurant called Carluccio’s. This is the part where I failed as a blogger and I didn’t take a picture of my food, but I can tell you that it tasted lush. With the eat out to help out scheme by the government the bill was quite nice too.
