A 2020 Christmas

I’ve been absent over Christmas, as I wanted to make the most of time with family as much as I could under the restrictions we were given due to COVID. My dad lives 3 hours away from me and he got put into tier 4 before Christmas which stopped him from seeing us, it would’ve been the first Christmas without him and I’ll be honest it felt weird, we Skyped on Christmas Day wearing our cheesy Christmas jumpers but it wasn’t the same. So because I’ve been absent I thought I’d update you all on what I got up to over Christmas.

Opening presents is the first thing we do, I was very lucky this year and was very spoilt, I’ve been really into stage make up and face painting so my mum bought me some equipment for that which I very much enjoyed opening, the excessive use of sellotape was unnecessary. I got some earrings, bubble bath and a jumper from nan and grandad, the earrings and the jumper is gorgeous and the bubble bath smells insane, and from my boyfriend I got well and truly spoilt he got me some amazing bath bombs which smell so good! And he got me two Harry Potter Pandora charms to go on my bracelet. He knows me too well.

Now Christmas dinner went well, considering I had no idea what I was doing and nan does a banging roast I think we made a good team, my dad usually cooks at Christmas and that proves a tad difficult when he’s 3 hours away in tier 4. But we had turkey and pigs in blankets galore. It tasted lush! besides the terrible cracker jokes the table presents were pretty funny I got a pair of slippers with dusters as the soles it made me chuckle I won’t lie, no excuse not to clean now.

we then watched The Christmas Chronicles on Netflix as nan and grandad had never seen it before, safe to say they enjoyed it. I’m never usually a fan of modern Christmas movies, I usually stick to old favourites but I have to admit even The Christmas Chronicles are good.

Several turkey sandwiches later and some cheese and crackers I was well and truly stuffed. Then I welcomed tier 4 with open arms (note the sarcasm) and Boxing Day was spent eating a buffet for 2 whilst enjoying hot chocolate watching Pirates Of The Caribbean.

I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas, what did you get up to?
