Hello lovelies, I thought I would start a little series on my blog about what I get up to on the weekends, this weekend involved shopping and some really tasty food.
Flat Pack Furniture & Meatballs
5 points go to Slytherin if anyone guessed that this part of the post is about IKEA. Yes I took a trip to IKEA, I mean who doesn’t love it there, it is the home shop of dreams. I wanted to get some new bits for my flat (apartment if you’re American) I managed to get some really nice bits but the highlight of my day definitely had to be the meatballs, my god if you’ve never eaten the meatballs at IKEA then you are missing out my friend. The even have a pant based option too which is amazing!
Having lived with my mum for ages I never really knew what it was like shopping for my own place but now that I’m in the process of moving out and living with my boyfriend I finally know what it’s like to buy some nice bits for my own place.
I would show you what I got but most of it is utensils for my kitchen so not the most interesting pictures to post if I’m honest. It was so nice to walk around and get so many ideas for furniture and layouts of rooms, my mind was racing and I was a tad excited.
Sun, Burgers and Family
If there is one thing that I am thankful for this year it’s family. After having such a confusing and stressful time with the pandemic going on, you realise that you miss the things that you took for granted before. After the weekend, I realised that being able to sit in my grandparents garden was one of those things I missed.
My grandad put the BBQ on and we had the most amazing afternoon, eating good food, spending time with my loved ones and even England winning a football match. I’m not the biggest football fan but it put my boyfriend, uncle and grandad in a good mood, and that’s all that matters.
The evening was finished off by chilling on the sofa watching a film. We watched Shazam on Amazon, granted it wasn’t one of the best films I’ve seen but not one of the worst either.
All in all I had a pretty good weekend I have a busy couple of weeks ahead of me so you may see some more posts soon.
