Self-Care & Self-Confidence

Self-care. We hear it everywhere, go take a bubble bath, put your favourite face mask on, drink a cup of tea or a glass of wine and read your favourite book or watch something on Netflix. As much as I believe that these are all forms of self-care I do also believe in a form of self-care that is often overlooked which in turn does boost my self-confidence too.

Solo days out/weekend trips

Take yourself out on a solo trip. this doesn’t always have to be for an overnight stay somewhere, a solo day out does count too. Take yourself shopping, go out for a walk, explore a new town or city. This is a form of self-care that I adore and I wish I had more time for it. This also does boost my self-confidence too which is a bonus because the serotonin I get when I’m happy in myself is great and the best feeling ever!

Try a new style, something I find that does also help my self-confidence is trying something new, take yourself down the highstreet grab an outfit off the rails that you usually wouldn’t go for and try it on, doesn’t mean you have to buy it but trying this technique can encourage you to discover a new found confidence in youself and maybe even something you may want to add to your wardrobe. Change can be scary but also really exciting.

Doing something that you’ve never done before

This is my favourite one, it can be frightening. I don’t mean to go skydiving or swimming with sharks, It could be something as going out to eat on your own, just recently I sat in a coffee shop on my own, it may sound silly to some but for me that was something that I’ve never done before and I actually found it quite refreshing. It was a good difference and I know that I’ll be doing this a lot more when I have the time.

What do you do that makes you feel good and boosts your self-confidence?
